Introduction
  
The Data Engineering and Analytics Group at GlobalFoundries is seeking a working student or intern to assist in integrating manufacturing and enterprise data from various source systems from manufacturing and corporate systems.
The working student/intern will support the team in designing and building data products in AWS lake house using.
  
  
Your Job
+ Assist in translating business cases into holistic solutions involving AWS Cloud Services, PySpark, Python and Redshift/Postgres
+ Support PL/SQL development for high-volume data sets
+ Analyze data using tools like AWS Sagemaker, Spotfire, JMP etc
+ Create data product entity relationship diagrams and improve adherence to data standards
+ Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
  
  
  
Required Qualifications
+ Enrolled at a German university in Engineering, STEM or related field
+ Experience with large, complex data projects – or high-volume data is highly beneficial
+ Understanding of data architecture approaches and trends: Knowledge of OLAP/OLTP, machine learning, generative AI, modeling, and statistics
+ Familiarity with SDLC concepts and processes: Understanding the software development life cycle is advantageous
+ Proficiency in programming languages: Skills in Python, PySpark, SQL are highly recommended
+ Strong planning & organizational skills
+ Analytic & Statistical skills as well as data engineering experience are beneficial
+ Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal at least C1)

Die Abteilung für Data Engineering und Analytics bei GlobalFoundries sucht eine studentische Praktikantin bzw.
einen studentischen Praktikanten zur Unterstützung bei der Integration von Fertigungs- und Unternehmensdaten aus verschiedenen Quellsystemen.
Ziel ist es, Datenprodukte im AWS Lake House zu entwerfen und zu entwickeln.

Erforderliche Qualifikationen
+ Immatrikulierte*r Student*in an einer deutschen Hochschule im Bereich Ingenieurwesen, MINT oder einem verwandten Studiengang
+ Verständnis von Ansätzen und Trends in der Datenarchitektur: Kenntnisse in OLAP/OLTP, maschinellem Lernen, generativer KI, Modellierung und Statistik
+ Gute Programmierkenntnisse, insbesondere in Python, PySpark und SQL
+ Erfahrung mit großen, komplexen Datenprojekten oder großen Datenmengen ist von Vorteil
+ Erste Erfahrungen mit Konzepten und Prozessen des Softwareentwicklungszyklus (SDLC) sind wünschenswert
+ Ausgeprägte Planungs- und Organisationsfähigkeiten
+ Analytische und statistische Fähigkeiten sowie Erfahrung im Bereich Data Engineering sind von Vorteil
