The Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodetic Science invites applications for the following position of Salary Scale W3 NBesO starting January 1, 2027: University Professorship in Structural Analysis and Dynamics
The Position
The position is a core professorship in the research and teaching area of civil engineering at Leibniz University Hannover.
Applicants are expected to represent the research field of structural analysis and dynamics in an internationally visible manner.
The focus of basic and applied research should be on structural engineering.
In particular, both theoretical and experimental work is expected on the design and operational monitoring of support structures and ensuring their use throughout their service life.

The work of the professorship should be in line with the main research activities of the faculty.
Active participation in the faculty’s research activities on wind energy and outstanding involvement in the current collaborative research center (SFB) 1463 “Integrated Design and Operation Methodology for Offshore Megastructures” are required.
With its integration into the Test Center for Support Structures Hannover (TTH), the professorship has excellent experimental equipment at its disposal, which opens up a wide range of opportunities for cooperation in basic and applied research.
