We are looking for a passionate Senior Backend Engineer (Cloud Services) to strengthen our growing cloud team.
In this role, you will take ownership in shaping and evolving our Quantum Cloud - the backbone of Quantum-Systems’ cutting-edge aerial data solutions.
You will design, build, and optimize scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services that empower our unmanned aerial systems (sUAV) to deliver world-class data collection capabilities.
With your expertise, you’ll directly contribute to Quantum-Systems’ mission to become the global leader in aerial intelligence.
Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable and performant backend systems using cutting-edge technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and implement product requirements.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex backend issues to ensure system uptime and stability.
Stay up-to-date with the latest backend technologies and cloud trends.
Contribute to the overall architecture and design of our backend systems.
Mentor and guide junior developers to help them grow and develop their skills.
5+ years of experience in backend development.
(Java/.Net)
Proven ability to design, implement, and maintain applications leveraging Java and the Spring platform.
Deep expertise in Azure cloud offerings, including App Service, Functions, and Cosmos DB.
Exposure to multi-cloud environments (e.g., GCP, AWS) is a plus.
Strong experience with designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based backend systems.
Strong background in relational databases and SQL (e.g., Azure SQL Database, PostgreSQL, MySQL) with hands-on experience in performance tuning, schema design, and query optimization.
Strong understanding of modern authentication and authorization protocols (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, PKCE, JWT).
In-depth knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
Experience with data processing pipelines in a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
