Job description

Responsibilities


  • Oversee environmental projects from initial proposal through to final delivery, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget are successfully managed.


  • Act as a senior technical advisor within multidisciplinary teams, particularly on contaminated site investigation, risk assessment, and remediation strategies.


  • Serve as the main point of contact for assigned key clients, providing high-level support and maintaining long-term partnerships.


  • Guide teams in identifying potential risks and implementing effective corrective measures during project execution.


  • Drive continuous improvement through structured project reviews and lessons learned processes.


  • Contribute to strategic initiatives related to sustainability, circular economy principles, digital innovation, and emerging contaminants such as PFAS.


  • Support business development by identifying new service opportunities and contributing to thought leadership through publications and professional events.


  • Assist with mentoring and guiding junior team members, contributing to technical excellence across the group.


  • Help promote market visibility by sharing knowledge at industry conferences and contributing to professional networks.


  • About You


  • A degree (or equivalent qualification) in environmental engineering, geology, geosciences, or a related technical field.


  • Proven experience leading contaminated land and remediation projects, ideally within a consultancy or private sector environment.


  • Strong understanding of German environmental legislation, particularly in the areas of soil protection, groundwater, and waste.

    Familiarity with EU/international regulations is a plus.


  • Skilled in coordinating stakeholders across complex projects, with excellent organizational and communication skills.


  • Fluent in both German and English (written and spoken).


  • A proactive mindset, with an ability to identify business opportunities and support marketing and sales efforts.


  • Capable of occasional travel within Germany as required for project delivery.
