As an important member of the dynamic and globally networked Biopolis Dresden research campus, we actively collaborate with various life science companies and major academic research institutions.

We are currently looking for a competent full-time, on-site Network Administrator (m/f/d) to join our service team in Dresden.

In this role, you will be part of our dedicated service team.

• Develop, implement and support network solutions, primarily with HP / Aruba technology
• Support and implementation of monitoring and security solutions such as firewalls and intrusion detection
• Collaborate with the team on various network-related tasks to ensure optimal performance and reliability
• Managing and maintaining network hardware, software and infrastructure components
• Troubleshooting network problems and implementing effective solutions in a timely manner
• Ensuring network security and compliance with established policies and procedures
• Monitoring network performance and implementing improvements as required
• Making suggestions for improvements to processes and procedures
• Working closely with scientists (m/f/d) to develop systems and structures to meet their research needs

• A university degree or equivalent in an IT-related or scientific field - or a good explanation of why your chosen career path gives you equivalent skills.
  
  
• Proven experience with HP/Aruba technology
• Basic knowledge of Linux system administration as this position involves working closely with the System Administrators (m/f/d)
• At least 3 years of experience in network and/or IT security
• Ability to work on site
• Must be fluent in English and German and have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a team
