In Liquidity domain we are working every day to help our corporate clients run their business more smoothly.

The clients that will be using and/or benefiting from results of your work range from small businesses to well-known multinational corporates (many of which you know and use their products).

The products we provide to clients are sight deposits, overdrafts, intraday credit-facilities, term deposits and off-balance sheet investments.

Those products help clients to make payments to their employees, suppliers, and achieve their cash management goals.

As a Lead Kotlin/Java Engineer, you will work in the development team located in Berlin and will be responsible for design and implementation of development tasks.

You will also participate in level 3 production support.

Focus will be on delivery of reliable and high-performance backend services.

Your key responsibilities

  • Define the future.

    Work with business and IT colleagues on functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Drive architecture.

    Co-work with Domain Architects to define the future state of the system components and front-to-back system architecture.

    Contribute to decisions on domain and enterprise architecture.

  • Lead.

    Co-operate with team members and other teams to drive delivery of business features and services.

    Mentor, direct and grow more junior engineers.

  • Coding, coding, coding.

    Take full ownership of a task or business feature: design, develop, review and auto-test new functionality.

    Document business and functional requirements, design decisions and APIs. Co-work with QAs on test automation of new and existing functionality.

  • Excellent Kotlin and/or Java knowledge including Spring framework and concurrency

  • Solid computer science (algorithms, data structures)

  • Solid knowledge of SQL (Oracle optimization is a plus) and Linux

  • Experience in designing and building high availability solutions and microservices

  • Experience with modern SDLC tool stack (Git/Bitbucket, JIRA, Artifactory, Jenkins/TeamCity, etc.

  • Good written and spoken English
