**What you’ll build**

As a Junior Developer (m/f/d) for SAP Build Process Automation, you'll build reliable and scalable cloud services for end-to-end automation of customer processes.

These span across entire enterprises and range from simple approval workflows to innovative AI-powered processes at a global scale.

We are looking for you: a Junior Developer (m/f/d) eager to learn and apply the latest technologies to build and run state-of-the-art microservices for process execution.

Together, we want to evolve SAP Build Process Automation on SAP's Business Technology Platform.

In your day-to-day work as a Junior Developer (m/f/d) within a Scrum team, you'll focus on product development while applying cutting-edge technologies like Java, Spring, GitHub Copilot, JavaScript, Cloud Foundry, HANA, Kafka, Dynatrace.

You strive for a high level of automation to ensure efficient development for effective deliveries into our data centers globally.

**What you bring**

+ University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
+ Very good software engineering and problem-solving skills, preferably in Java, and can apply your analytical skills to crack “hard nuts”.

You are willing to step out of your comfort zone if needed
+ First-hand experience or a strong theoretical understanding of microservice principles and asynchronous communication (e.g., using Kafka).
+ You strive for quality and are familiar with agile software engineering practices; TDD is known, and CI/CD is no mystery to you.
+ You are focused on outcome over output.
+ You take responsibility for your own development and learning, while you enjoy solving problems jointly in your team.
+ Fluent English language skills, both spoken and written
