NI is one of the leading manufacturers in the field of **Software Defined Radios (SDR)** .
An important prerequisite for RF development is detailed **simulation** of the signal chain and **measurements** that can validate the simulation.
To extend the test and simulation coverage for our upcoming products, we are looking for an electrical engineering student for our Dresden R&D site.
You will be guided by an experienced mentor who will work with you on a day-to-day basis.
**In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:**
+ Develop and extend measurement framework with new features and tests in LabVIEW and/or Python
+ Develop and extend simulation models and tools in LabVIEW and/or Python
**Who You Are:**
+ You are passionate about wireless technology and like to learn and work with the latest measurement techniques and simulation tools.
+ You can manage your time well and reach out to mentors with questions to help drive progress and completion of goals and tasks.
+ You work effectively in a group environment, problem-solve, and diagnose technical issues and propose reasonable solutions.
**For this Role, You Will Need:**
+ Ongoing academic studies in Computer Science, Information System Technology, Electrical Engineering or comparable fields of studies (from 4th semester)
+ Basic understanding of RF (e.g., components, measurements)
+ First practical experience in programming (e.g., with Arduino, Raspberry Pi)
+ Good command of spoken and written English and/or German
+ Availability for 5-6 months starting in **April 2026**
+ This internship must be a **mandatory** part of your studies
**Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:**
+ Experience in Python programming
+ Experience with RF measurements equipment (Signal Analyzer and Signal Generator)
+ Experience with RF simulations (CST, Microwave Office…)
+ Experience in LabVIEW
