Job description

Your tasks


  • Lead the global controlling function in GBS, including monthly closings and a reporting factory, ensuring accurate and timely consolidation of financial data and reports.

  • Lead the consolidation of transactional controlling activities of Voith into the GBS.

    This task will include the re-allocation of activities among the teams as a preparation to drive standardization.

  • Drive the structural and operational harmonization of Voith’s controlling processes and align them with our Head of GBS Finance and with Voith’s Global Process Owner Controlling .

  • Ensure the tasks (inputs, activities, outputs) are well documented.

  • Drive a strategic development and business partnering as well as the optimization in controlling through the specialization of tasks, digitization, and automation, incl.

    the setup of a reporting factory with self-service reports.

  • Support the shift of the activities to our best cost country hub in Eastern Europe or India.

    Some travel to the regions will be required to support the colleagues on the ground (e.g., with training).

  • Report directly to the Head of GBS Finance with regular updates on progress and challenges.
  • Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

    A Master's degree is preferred.

  • + years proven operational leadership experience in controlling and leading teams.

  • Experience in working with people from different countries and cultures is a plus.

  • Experience with digitization and automation of financial processes is a must.

  • Strong project management and leadership skills.

  • Fluency in English is required.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and strong analytical as well as problem-solving abilities.
