ExamAllocation tool: student position available for programming using Python, SQL, SQLAlchemy, and FastAPI

ExamAllocation is a tool internally developed in the Department of Mathematics to automate the allocation of staff members for exam supervisions and exam grading.

We are looking for a student assistant to continue the development of the tool.

Our goal is to use the ExamAllocation tool in production as soon as possible.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • first-hand experience in software development and optimization
  • bring your knowledge into practice
  • learn new skills that will help you in the future
  • student position for 8-9hrs/week (exact working time is negotiable) for the duration of the winter semester /26 (can potentially be extended)flexible working hours
  • WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • proficieny in Python
  • experience in working with SQL databases
  • knowledge of FastAPI (or some other Python web framework, e.g., Flask, Django) and SQLAlchemy (or some other Python ORM system)
  • basic experience with Git
  • ability to work independently
  • good communication skills
  • bonus: experience in integer programming and MIP solvers and/or Angular or related frameworks is a plus
