Your Role

As an Engineering Manager (f/m/d) at LIQID, you will lead and scale engineering teams that are democratizing access to wealth management solutions previously reserved for the UHNW individuals.

You will own the technical vision and execution for critical parts of our digital platform that manages over €3 billion in assets, from our client-facing applications to our sophisticated wealth management platform.



You will build high-performing engineering teams while maintaining a hands-on approach to technical leadership.

This means actively shaping architecture decisions, driving engineering excellence, and ensuring we deliver exceptional digital experiences that match the quality of our market-leading investment solutions.

You'll work closely with Product, Design, and Investment teams to transform how affluent Europeans build and preserve wealth.

Our Tech Stack is TypeScript, Node.js, React/React Native, PostgreSQL, Redis, and GCP. While experience with our exact stack is beneficial, we are more interested in your ability to lead teams building scalable, secure financial systems and your excitement about working in a highly regulated fintech environment.

What you bring

• You have 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3+ years leading engineering teams in a fast-paced environment, preferably in fintech, digital banking, or investment platforms
• You bring deep expertise in building and scaling distributed systems, with hands-on experience in TypeScript/JavaScript or languages like Go, Python or Kotlin/Java
• You have architected and operated highly available, secure systems handling sensitive financial data with experience in AWS, GCP, or Azure
• You understand modern frontend and backend architectures, having worked with frameworks like React, React Native, Node.js, or similar, and relational databases like PostgreSQL, or Redis
• You have a proven track record of building and mentoring diverse engineering teams, helping engineers grow from junior to senior levels while maintaining high technical standards
• You excel at technical communication - translating complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and advocating for engineering needs at the leadership level
• You practice and promote engineering best practices including CI/CD, comprehensive testing strategies, code reviews, and documentation

• You lead by example technically. While you won't code full-time, you stay close to the codebase, participate in architecture reviews, and can jump into critical technical decisions.
  
  Your team respects you because you understand their challenges deeply.
• You build bridges, not silos. You actively collaborate with other engineering teams, Product, Design, and Investment teams.
  
  You understand that our success depends on breaking down barriers between disciplines.
• You're passionate about engineering culture. You contribute to building LIQID's engineering brand through technical blogs, conference talks, open source contributions, or mentoring in the broader tech community.
