Overview:
We are seeking experienced Databricks Platform Engineers to support a high-growth project within the oil and gas sector.
This is a remote contract opportunity requiring immediate availability and strong technical expertise in building and managing scalable data and AI workflows on the Databricks platform.
Location: Remote (anywhere in Europe)Contract Type: Freelance / Contract (Initial 6-month term)Day Rate: Up to £800/day (depending on experience)Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and optimise scalable data pipelines and AI workflows using DatabricksFocus on platform engineering rather than traditional data engineeringCollaborate with machine learning teams to ensure platform readiness for AI/ML deploymentImplement MLOps practices to support model development, production, and monitoringWork with cloud technologies, ideally AzureEssential Skills:
Proven experience with Databricks platform engineeringStrong Python development skillsSolid understanding of machine learning workflows and MLOpsProven experience designing and building Databricks platform architectureExperience with analytics platforms, data pipeline creation, and statistical modellingAbility to work independently and deliver under tight timelinesDesirable:
Experience in the energy or oil & gas sectorExposure to Palantir technologies is a plusFamiliarity with Azure cloud services
