Component Test Engineer Job Opening In Hennigsdorf – Now Hiring Dabster


Job description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Component Test Engineer specializing in Rolling Stock, and Train Control & Management Systems (TCMS).

Tester will be responsible for testing and validating individual components of railway systems and equipment to ensure compliance with performance, safety, and quality standards.

This role requires a combination of technical knowledge, analytical
skills, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibility:
• For the Do SW releases the TDD Adapter HLFG Tests have to be performed.

The WP purpose is the production of the SCTS, SCTR and tracematrix documents.

The entire task is based on TCMS requirements which are written in german.

Will be performed main run of test execution on the same Do SW version
• First and second test run for the production of SCTS, SCTR and tracematrix in draft version (ready for Alstom review and consolidation).
• Final run for the production of SCTS, SCTR and tracematrix based on the reviewed and consolidation comments.
• Conduct tests on various components to verify functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and protocols for component assessment.
• Analyze test results, identify issues, and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Document findings and prepare detailed reports on testing activities.
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to provide feedback on component functionality and design.
• Work closely with quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Experience on Vector Cast tools or MITRAC tools.
• Design, develop, and execute detailed test cases for software components, covering various use cases, edge cases, and expected functionalities.
• Conduct regression testing to ensure that newly developed or modified software components do not adversely affect existing functionality.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience: Previous experience in testing and validation of components, preferably within the railway or transportation industry.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in using testing equipment and software.
Certifications (Optional):
• Relevant certifications in quality assurance or testing methodologies (, ISTQB, Six Sigma, etc.).
