Tasks

As a (Senior) Python Developer at getML, you will take on a crucial role in enhancing getML, maintaining our Python API, and providing support in customer projects, all with significant autonomy and trust from day one.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Enhancing getML: Lead the development and optimization of the getML framework, focusing on improving its performance, scalability, and usability.
  
  You will be responsible for refining the Python API, integrating new features, and ensuring that the platform evolves to meet the needs of our users and clients.
  
  
• Software Consulting: Collaborate with interdisciplinary and agile teams to design and develop data-driven applications for our customers.
  
  Your role involves actively conceptualizing and building scalable solutions that integrate seamlessly with our clients' systems and infrastructure.
  
  
• Enhancing Developer Experience: Work closely with our team to ensure that our product is intuitive and well-documented, contributing to example datasets, documentation updates, and tutorials.
  
  
• Continuous Learning: While prior machine learning experience is not required, a strong willingness to learn and engage with these technologies is expected.
  
  You’ll have opportunities to build foundational knowledge in this area, which will be essential for contributing effectively to getML and our customer projects.

Requirements

Here are some qualifications that would help you succeed in this role:

• Extensive experience in designing and implementing robust software applications, with a direct impact on the business and a strong sense of ownership.
  
  
• Advanced proficiency in Python, with a track record in developing and maintaining APIs and Python packages.
  
  
• Working understanding of Typescript, C++, and Golang to engage with and contribute to the getML engine.
  
  
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and version control systems.
  
  
• Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and an understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles.
  
  
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks, while also collaborating effectively within a team.
  
  
• Strong ambition to gain a thorough understanding of machine learning frameworks and methods.
  
  
• Ability to communicate effectively in both German (B2) and English.

Compensation: We want to offer compensation that aligns with industry standards.

To maintain a transparent and fair approach to compensation, the salary ranges for all positions are determined based on market benchmarks and a comprehensive leveling framework.

For this role, Leipzig-based salary ranges from 48.000€ to 80.000€ p.a. + stock options , depending on the leveling we’ll establish with you throughout the hiring process.
