The Carbon Nano Device group researches, develops and tests procedures, processes, technologies and application for integration of low-dimensional nanomaterials in a micro/ nanotechnological manufacturing line for wafers up to 200 mm in diameter.   We propose a topic tailored to student qualification project or theses, focusing on advancements in the following areas:   What you will do The objective of your research work is to carry out systematic studies, primarily carried out independently, focusing on intensive characterization utilizing various methods such as electrical FET characterization, atomic force microscopy, Raman spectroscopy, surface profilometry, and absorption spectroscopy. Yours tasks include:
                
This requires exploration of advanced materials and their technological implementation in existing platforms.
Due to their proven properties, low-dimensional nanomaterials offer the ideal material basis for new, innovative applications for electronic and sensor components.

These components reflect promising building blocks for a manyfold of applications, ranging from AI-linked environmental or biosensor technology to hardware-integrated security primitives, as well as breakthroughs in quantum computing or quantum sensor technology.
